David Weir

With over twenty years’ project experience, David brings international experience from projects in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe and South Africa.David has the proven ability to develop roadmaps that translate a client’s vision into a deliverable project outcome. He champions the use of local and international best practice structures for all of Miyamoto’s projects. He continually drives innovation by searching for new tools, operating models and processes that add value for clients and projects.In his senior management roles, David has successfully led teams of multi-skilled professionals from project conception to delivery. His inclusive management style means he builds strong working relationships that minimise conflict and create effective engagement with project participants.David is skilled at providing project governance. In this role, he acts as a checkpoint to ensure that all project activity is aligned with the agreed strategy and delivers real value for clients. David was previously a Director and Owner of Impact Project Management Ltd, a National Project Management company in New Zealand, and subsequently established Miyamoto New Zealand in 2012. Along with business management, David works closely with the national and international team and remains close to projects to ensure the best outcomes for Miyamoto’s clients.
